HeadsUp ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile and desktop applications.

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. The Short Version

We do not sell your data.

We do not record video or audio.

Motion data is processed 100% locally on your device.

Your posture data stays on your iPhone/Mac and is not uploaded to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

A. Motion & Sensor Data (The Core Functionality)

To function as a posture corrector, HeadsUp requires access to the Motion Sensors (accelerometers and gyroscopes) inside your AirPods or compatible headphones.

How we use it: We use the CMHeadphoneMotionManager API to detect the angle (pitch) of your head in real-time.

Where it goes: This raw sensor data is processed locally on your device to trigger the "Red/Green" alerts. It is never recorded, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

B. Usage Data (Posture Stats)

The App stores a local history of your posture performance (e.g., "Time spent sitting straight" vs. "Time spent slouching").

Storage: This data is stored locally in your device's secure file system.

Syncing: If you use iCloud Drive, your settings and stats may sync between your iPhone and Mac via your personal private iCloud container. We do not have access to this data.

C. Technical & Crash Data

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable technical data (such as device model, iOS version, and crash reports) to help us fix bugs and improve app stability. This is done via standard Apple opt-in metrics.

3. Third-Party Services

A. Payment Processing

We use Apple's In-App Purchase system to process payments for Pro, Yearly, or Lifetime subscriptions.

We do not process or store your credit card information.

Apple handles all financial transactions securely.

4. Permissions We Request

Motion & Fitness (iOS/macOS): Required to read data from your AirPods to detect head tilt.

Notifications: Required to send you alerts (e.g., "Sit up straight!") when you are using the app in the background.

Bluetooth: Required to connect to your headphones.

5. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your data. Since we do not collect personal information or upload motion data to the cloud, there is no risk of your posture habits being exposed in a data breach of our servers. All processing happens on your own hardware.

6. Children’s Privacy

HeadsUp does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the date at the top of this policy.
